The clock has been ticking to the highly anticipated wait of the Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Whiskey Liqueur and it has finally arrived. Yesterday the 1st July marked the arrival of the Liqueur on SA’s doorstep. We are amongst the first countries outside of the States to be getting Jack Daniels first new product in about 15 years.
As a marketing ploy the bottle “no 1” was delivered to select individuals ( people who would ultimately spread the word) and was accompanied by a jar of Jack’s honey, a wooden honey spoon, a brochure and a nice credit-card sized branded memory stick with some PR info and some of the great commercials made for Tennessee Honey. Nice touch by the Jack Daniel’s marketing & PR companies.
Even though I may not be a whiskey fan, just to receive the package would have been great. How they put it together with the information is simple and has been done before but they managed to give it a distinct touch that consistently communicated the attributes of the new brand. Together with the ads that were created for the new brand, I’d say JD has done a splendid job. Love it.
