Do you think the Client would Approve these?

Advertising is a serious game. With clients that hand over millions in return for increased sales and awareness, advertisers have to trick, lure, confuse, persuade and con consumers into believing a message. Sometimes the brand in question has a strong following and advertisers may only need to remind the consumer of the brand. Other brands have solid beliefs and morals which consumers buy which make it easier for advertisers to portray. Other brands just plain suck but it is the advertiser’s job to stand by them and show them in a positive light, that light usually means the barcode machine through which it will pass when a consumer buys the brand. It’s not easy, many burn out, can’t handle the pressure, get creative blocks and some even turn to drugs for inspiration.

There no denying that it’s a tough industry but at the same time it is also relaxed. Advertising is a world of contradictions, on one hand we pour out our creativity as a form of anti-establishment and on the other we conform to desires and demands. That’s why its great to see work like this, stuff that you can laugh at because deep down inside you know that these are what some creative though of but just didn’t tell the client for fear of public decapitation…and apart from being satirical they actually hint at the truth.
